MEET KATIE
I’m the founder and owner of Interiors By Catherine. I have a real passion for all things interiors from styling accessories to full home design.
I thrive on helping clients turn their ideas into a reality and like working collaboratively, creating spaces that can really be enjoyed. My approach is honest and no faff, I give a clear direction on what works and the best way to achieve the desired look and feel.
MY STORY
I started my career by studying Interior Design at Dundee University, before relocating to Cyprus where I worked on high-end hotels in Dubai and the Middle East. Upon moving back to Scotland, I shifted to a retail environment, where I worked on smaller interior design projects.
As my experience grew, I started my own company, which has allowed me to work on various projects, such as residential, holiday homes, and home staging with estate agents.
As my passion for interior design expanded, I began teaching an interior design course with BAID at Edinburgh University. Additionally, I worked with property developers in Manchester, designing build-to-rent furniture packages, procuring furniture, setting up show apartments, and providing aftercare and snagging services.
Throughout my career, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and skills that I can apply to the projects I work on. I am always eager to learn and improve and take a no-faff, straight-to-the-point and honest approach with my clients.

I believe that collaboration with my clients is essential in bringing their vision to life. I work closely with them to deliver a friendly customer expereince, keeping to the brief and their specific needs. I never recommend anything that I wouldn't expect for myself, and I always ensure that I am flexible to the project's timeline and requirements.
